Utica residents talk prescription drug costs with mayor over lunch

UTICA, N.Y. (WKTV) - Utica Mayor David Roefaro shared a meal with city residents Thursday, and answered questions his lunch dates had regarding city issues.

Several residents turned out at Tramontane Café on Lincoln Ave, to enjoy a bite to eat - but more importantly, pick the mayor's brain. Topics discussed included the mayor's new prescription drug discount plan, to filling in pot holes, and everything in between. One lunch guest thinks the dine around is a great success.

"I think it's a great idea, he's doing a great job," said Jeni Nezic, a Utica resident. "It makes the mayor look very accessible."

The mayor even brought brochures with information on his prescription drug discount plan to the lunch.

On Friday, dine around will continue at Sabor Latino on South Street at 12:30 p.m.
