Veterans recognized at West Frankfort Elementary School

By WKTV News

FRANKFORT, N.Y. (WKTV)- While Wednesday might be the official day to honor our veterans, several area schools started their celebrations a bit early.

A ceremony took place at West Frankfort Elementary Tuesday morning. It was a tribute to those who have served and are currently serving.

The school's principal, Frank Saraceno, says it's an honor to "honor" our nation's heroes, "the program has been so great that we've remained friends with many of our veterans throughout the years. They keep coming back and they talk to the children firsthand about our history as a country and about what they've accomplished in various wars helping us be free."

This is the 19th year the school has honored area veterans.
