Crews make quick work of Poland house firePOLAND, N.Y. (WKTV) - Fire crews were able to make quick work of a chimney fire on Cameron Hill Road in Poland that left one family homeless...at least for a night. The fire broke out shortly before 9 a.m. on Tuesday morning. The family was at home at the time the fire broke out and called firefighters. When crews first arrived on the scene, they found smoke coming from the center of the house. The Poland Fire Chief said the flames started in the chimney and then spread to the roof. Heavy damage was sustained to the chimney area, and the fire chief said it will be a few days before the family is able to return home. Most Popular |
