SUNY Oneonta certified as "Stormready University"

ONEONTA, N.Y. - The SUNY College at Oneonta has received official certification as a "StormReady University" from the National Weather Service.

Representatives of the Binghamton office of the service presented a plaque today to College officials to signify that SUNY Oneonta has met the requirements of the national "StormReady"
program.

The "StormReady" program focuses on improving communication and severe weather preparedness in communities and organizations. The program assists leaders in strengthening hazard mitigation and response plans.

SUNY Oneonta is the second college in New York State to receive the "StormReady" designation.
