Hometown Heroes Honored in Frankfort

FRANKFORT, N.Y. (WKTV) - Two rescue worker were honored Thursday night for a display of heroism.

John Congdon of the Village of Frankfort Police Department and Richard Maneen of the Frankfort Fire Department were both awarded for saving a worker who fell into the Erie Canal back on November 4th.
    
Both men say they were just doing what they get paid to do.

"We're both in the profession of helping people, saving lives, so you just have to look at it like, we're just doing our jobs," Congdon said.

Congdon and Maneen both received certificates for their heroic efforts.
