State Police in Sylvan Beach and Lee release details of November arrests

SYLVAN BEACH AND LEE, N.Y. (WKTV) - State Police in Sylvan Beach and the Town of Lee have released the names and photos of five individuals facing charges that range from DWI to drugs, to harassment.

On November 4, State Police in Sylvan Beach charged Michael J. Schalk, 40, of Bridgeport with driving while intoxicated. State Police said Schalk had a .12% BAC at the time of his arrest. He was released after being issued several traffic tickets and is scheduled to appear in the Village of Sylvan Beach court on December 10, 2009.

On November 6, State Police in Sylvan Beach charged Jessica L. Powers, 21, of Sylvan Beach, with second-degree aggravated Harassment after she allegedly made threatening telephone calls to another person. She was released after being issued an appearance ticket and is scheduled to appear in the Village of Sylvan Beach court on December 3, 2009.

On November 21, State Police in Sylvan Beach charged Robbie C. Johnson, 47, of Rome, with petit larceny. Authorities said Johnson stole $40 worth of gas from the Taberg Nice and Easy. He was released after being issued an appearance ticket and is scheduled to appear in the Town of Annsville court on December 14, 2009.

On November 21, State Police in Lee charged Christopher M. Babcock, 38, of Syracuse, with driving while intoxicated and unlawful possession of marijuana. Authorities said Babcock had a .16% BAC at the time of his arrest. He was released after being issued traffic tickets and an appearance ticket and is scheduled to appear in the Town of Annsville court on December 7, 2009.

On November 21, State Police in Lee charged Megan J. Thomas, 21, of Camden, with petit larceny and possession of a hypodermic instrument. Thomas stole $10 from a relative. She was released after being issued an appearance ticket and is scheduled to appear in the Town of Vienna court on December 15, 2009.
