DANUBE, N.Y. (WKTV) - After roughly a five hour stand off with State Police in a mobile home, a Danube man exited without incident.

At roughly 7:50 a.m. on Tuesday, State Police responded to a call of a domestic dispute at the Homestead Trailer Park on Route 5S in the Town of Danube. A caller not involved in the incident told authorities that Michael Grogan, 28, chased a woman through the mobile home park and then back into the residence.

Troopers said Grogan denied access to the residence and locked the doors and neither he nor the woman - Shannon Shorer, 26, would respond to troopers. In response, authorities set up a perimeter around the mobile home unit.

Both Grogan and Shorer refused to leave the residence or talk with troopers, and the two both denied that a domestic incident had occurred or that police involvement was needed. Authorities than had hostage negotiators make contact with the duo.

At roughly 10:45 p.m., Shorer exited the mobile home, denying that any criminal act had happened. Grogan, however, remained in the residence and continued to refuse to cooperate with troopers.

At approximately 12:30 p.m., Grogan voluntarily exited the mobile home, and the residence was checked for firearms. Authorities did not find any firearms, and no arrests were made.
