Victims identified in Paris Hill fatal crash

TOWN OF PARIS, N.Y. (WKTV) - The names of the four people involved in a deadly one-car crash in the Town of Paris have been released.

The two passengers in the vehicle who were pronounced dead at the scene are being identified as Saem Ho, age 19, of Hauppauge and Young Wang, age 19, of Norwood New Jersey.

The driver of the vehicle and a rear seat passenger who were sent to the hospital and released are being identified as Hyun Sung Chang, 19, of Duluth Georgia and Chaewan Shin, 19, of Newton New Hampshire.

All four were students at of Syracuse University. Oneida County sheriff deputies said they believe the four left Syracuse earlier in the evening and were traveling to New York City.

The accident happened around 9:30 p.m. on Route 12 in the Town of Paris Tuesday night. Authorities said the car left the road, hit an embankment then a series of trees before coming to rest in an open field.

The investigation is ongoing.
