Centennial mass held for Rome church

ROME, N.Y. (WKTV) - A milestone was marked Sunday by a very special mass at local church. The 100th anniversary celebration mass was held Sunday afternoon at Transfiguration of Our Lord Church on Ridge Road.

Syracuse Diocese Bishop Robert Cunningham presided over the mass. Former priests of the church were invited to attend.

The church was formed way back in 1909. A celebratory dinner was also held Sunday at The Beeches in Rome.
