"Persons of interest" identified in deadly Dudley Ave shooting

UTICA, N.Y. (WKTV) - The investigation continues into a deadly shooting in Utica early Thanksgiving morning.

Utica Police said they have identified some "persons of interest" in the case, and that as soon as those individuals are located, they will be interviewed by authorities.

Early Thursday morning, investigators were called to 1139 Dudley Avenue and upon arrival, found George Garrow, 66, who had been shot. Garrow later died at the scene.

Garrow is listed on the state's criminal justice website as a registered sex offender who was convicted in 1988 of sexually abusing a 12-year-old boy.

Neighbors say Garrow had one leg, used a motorized wheelchair to get around and was often seen driving a tractor to collect scrap metal he would sell for cash.
