Lipiec sentenced to 25 years for Utica rape

UTICA, N.Y. (WKTV) - A man facing rape charges in two different counties was sentenced for one of those cases in Oneida County Court on Monday.

David Lipiec, 42, of Little Falls, was sentenced to 25 years in prison with 15 years post-release supervision.

Lipiec pleaded guilty in October to offering a ride home to a 19 year old woman from the parking lot of Pin-o-Rama in South Utica, driving her behind the north Utica FastTrac, and raping her.

Lipiec's victim was in court Monday, facing her attacker and reading an eloquent statement where she told him he ruined her life and left her with scarred memories that will haunt her forever. Lipiec showed no reaction to her statement.

He is due in Herkimer County Court on a separate incident, but similar charges, on Tuesday morning.
