Missing woman found tied up at Weedsport motel

WEEDSPORT, N.Y. (AP) - A woman who says she was duped by an
Internet employment notice has been found bound with duct tape at a
motel in central New York after vanishing for two days.

Sheriff's deputies say the 21-year-old woman was treated at a hospital for a head wound after being discovered tied up Monday at a Best Western in Weedsport west of Syracuse. Her identity was not disclosed.

The woman says she met a man online who wanted to hire someone to assist him in purchasing horses. After they visited farms in the Poconos region in Pennsylvania, she called her family Saturday night to say she was two hours from home and dropping the man off near a farm he said he owned in Saratoga Springs.

Her car is officially listed as stolen. No arrests have been made.
