NYS Police: Girls run down alleged drug dealer

WESTMORELAND, N.Y. (WKTV) - State Police have arrested three teens. This comes after investigators say two girl allegedly ran over a teen they were buying pot from.
The incident happened on November 8th. Troopers say they were called to the Rising Stars Sports Complex in Westmoreland. When they got there, they found Gary Popielarski II, 17, with head and internal injuries and was transported to St. Elizabeth Medical Center.
A subsequent investigation into this alleged motor vehicle accident showed that Popielarski was in this parking lot to sell marijuana to two females. After the females received the marijuana, they sped off in their vehicle they were in an attempt to leave without paying for the marijuana. Popielarski was injured when the girls left the parking lot and ran him over with their vehicle.
As a result of the investigation, Gary Popielarski was arrested for Criminal Sale of Marijuana in the 4th Degree and providing a Punishable False Written Statement, both Misdemeanor charges. He was issued an appearance ticket returnable to the Town of Westmoreland Court.
- Lauren Heitzmann , 19, of Oriskany was charged with Robbery in the Second Degree (Felony) , Assault in The Second Degree (Felony) and Reckless Endangerment 2nd (Misdemeanor).
- Vivian Grico-Wolak , 17, of Utica, was charged with Robbery in the Second Degree (Felony) and Unlawful Possession of Marijuana (Violation).
Both Heitzmann and Grico-Wolak were arraigned in the Town of Westmoreland Court and were committed to the Oneida County Jail in lieu of bail.
