Wind topples power-generating windmill in Madison County

FENNER, N.Y. (WKTV) - Strong winds may have contributed to a power-generating windmill getting knocked over in Madison County.

The windmill came down sometime Saturday night along Buyea Road in the Town of Fenner. Fenner is east of Cazenovia in Madison County.

The windmill generated power on The Fenner Wind Farm. The windmills are operated by a company called E-Nell North America.

No power was interrupted due to the collapse but all windmills on the hill were shut down to avoid another collapse.

No official cause has been determined.
