Forensic engineer joins team in turbine collapse investigation

FENNER, N.Y. (WKTV) - A team of engineers is trying to figure out what caused the turbine to come crashing down at a Madison County wind farm.

A forensic engineer will join a team being put together by General Electric. G-E is the manufacturer of the turbines that generate electricity atop the wind farm's 20 towers.

The company says it could cost up to $3 million to replace the turbine.
