NHPD: Couple stole baby formula from Hannaford, husband pushed manager

NEW HARTFORD, N.Y. (WKTV) - One man and one woman are facing charges after police say the couple stole from the Hannaford Supermarket on Commerical Drive, pushed the store manager and fled the scene.

Accorinding to New Hartford Police, around 8:00 p.m. they responded to Hannaford where 49-year-old Randa Aiken and 39-year-old Mark Aiken of Utica had stolen $150 in baby formula.

Authorities say that the couple stole the formula and was then approached by the store manager and the loss prevention officer. When the couple was questioned, the husband reportedly pushed the store manager and fled on foot down Commercial Drive.

The wife, Randa Aiken was arrested at the store by New Hartford Police.

Police went searching for the husband, Mark Aiken, and found him down the road at K-Mart on Commerical Drive.

Both are charged with petit larceny and sent to the New Hartford Police Station and Town Court.

Both Aikens were then sent to the Oneida County Jail in lieu of $500.00 bail.
