Sheriffs: Woman drives drunk, flips car over snowbank

WATSON, N.Y. (WKTV) - A Lewis County woman is facing charges after police say she was driving drunk and flipped her car over a snow bank, causing her injury.

According to the Lewis County Sheriffs, 52-year-old Bonnie Suiter was traveling south on Pine Grove Road when she lost control of her vehicle due to speeding on the slippery, snow-covered roadway.

She then went off the side of the road an struck a snow bank, flipping her car over.

Police say she and her passenger, Jeffrey Suiter, had to be extracated from the vehicle.

Bonnie Suiter was sent to Lewis County General Hospital for treatment of injury. Jeffrey Suiter was uninjured in the accident.

Bonnie Suiter is charged with DWI.
