Argument at mall leads to arrest

By WKTV News

NEW HARTFORD, N.Y. (WKTV) - A Forestport man is facing a number of charges including stalking and harassment.

Steven Sousa, 37, was arrested following an incident at the Sangertown Square Mall in New Hartford.

Police claim he got into an argument with the mall's General Manager and also caused some damage to the building.

Authorities say the arrest follows a fight several months ago involving Sousa and his ex-girlfriend who works at a store in the mall.

Since then she's had an order of protection against Sousa.

Sousa has been sent to the Oneida County Jail on $2,500 bail and will be back in New Hartford Town Court at a later date.
