UTICA, N.Y. (WKTV) - The former treasurer of a Boonville library says he needs more time to consider a plea deal offered by Oneida County prosecutors.

Lawrence Recor appeared in county court Friday. He's facing grand larceny charges.

Authorities say he stole more than $280,000 from the Erwin Library.

Prosecutors say he wrote dozens of unauthorized checks from the library's account to his accounting business from June of 2005 to January of 2008.

Recor is due back in court on January 19th.
