Lewis County woman hospitalized following snowmobile crash

WEST TURIN, N.Y. (WKTV) - A woman was transported to the hospital after police say she sustained head injuries following a snowmobiling accident in Lewis County.

The Lewis County Sheriff's Department says that 46-year-old Jewel Whalen of Schenectady was riding north on Trail C4A when she attempted to take a turn.

Whalen went off the trail and hit two trees.

Whalen was transported to Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse for treatment of head injuries.
