UTICA – The man whom police said is responsible for the murder of Utica Police Officer Thomas Lindsey has been indicted for murder.

Wesley Molina-Cirino, known also by his street name of “Flaco,” first underwent a felony exam.

Prosecutors used their star witness, Sammy Manuel Rivera, who testified that he saw Cirino shoot Officer Lindsey.

The evidence was enough to send the case to a grand jury hearing.

Today, Molina-Cirino was indicted on charges of “’aggravated murder.”

The indictment, or formal charge, means Cirino will have to stand trial for the murder.

He will return to court to enter a plea to the indictment in the next couple of weeks.
