CLINTON, N.Y. (WKTV) - Utica native and New Orleans Saints Defensive End, Will Smith, will not be the only local man in Miami for the Superbowl. One Clinton man is taking his mentalist show on the road to perform at a VIP party.

Clinton native Jim Karol says he was dubbed the "made man mentalist", because of some of the risks he takes. Karol has performed all over the world, but will now headline the entertainment at the biggest VIP Superbowl party.

"You can't even describe it, it's like you look out into the audience and here's Michael Jordan over here and Kevin Costner over there and Cuba Gooding Junior here, " said Karol. " And then they're all these NFL athletes, it's incredible. I never thought this would happen it's just the biggest blast. Its great."

Karol says in all his years growing up in Pennsylvania, or living in Clinton he never expected to become so successful so quickly. The "mad man mentalist" just landed himself a full time gig at a Las Vegas casino. Karol says his life is living proof if you never give up on your dreams, you can achieve anything.

"It is out there just to grab it, and keep going and just never give up." said Karol.

The Clinton native says he does a lot of charity shows, the Superbowl party being one of them. In fact, Karol says, when he is done in Miami he will be back home doing a charity show in Clinton with the ultimate trick to be raising money to build a new home in Haiti.
