Oneonta real estate group considers Harza Building

UTICA, N.Y. (WKTV) - The Harza Building in downtown Utica is one step closer to having a new owner.

The Industrial Development Agency has drafted a contract being submitting to a real estate group from Oneonta.

There are many different ideas for the building. For instance, using the first floor for retail and the upper floors for offices and the top floor possibly for luxury apartments, "the building was fully renovated about 25 years ago. It's in good shape, it needs a little work. But we really look at it as the corner of downtown development," says Urban Development Commissioner Robert Sullivan.

Sullivan says the group is likely to either accept or make a counter offer.
