Rochester man in serious condition after snowmobile accident

NORTH OSCEOLA, N.Y. (WKTV) - The Lewis County Sheriff's Department is investigating a snowmobile accident that left one man with serious injuries.

A second snowmobiler was also injured in the collision. The accident happened Saturday afternoon on Potter Road in North Osceola.

Investigators say that 28-year-old Gregory Muratore of Rochester was ejected from his sled after he went over a series of moguls.

As Muratore was attempting to stand up in the trail to regain his footing, he was struck by another snowmobile, driven by 51-year-old Michael Perry of Webster.

Muratore was airlifted to Upstate Medical Center in Syracuse and is listed in serious condition.

Perry was taken by ambulance to a Syracuse hospital, his condition is unknown at this time.
