UTICA - Before the 15K race begins, it's the 5K race that will get the morning's Boilermaker events off the ground, and New York State Governer Eliot Spitzer is at the starting line.

"This is an amazing event, just spectacular," Spitzer said.

Spitzer ran the 5k last year when he was running for New York State Governor against his opponent John Faso.

Spitzer hasn't been seen in the area since that time and since his election, explaining that business in the capital has kept him very busy.

A fact, he said, is about to change.

"I'm going to be back over and over," Spitzer said. "For better or for worse we've been back in Albany trying to get a lot of policies and recharge the captial. We've been working awfully hard. Once legislature has finished its business, I'm going to be travelling the state and coming back and back to Utica, sitting down with local officials, here every day, and working hard at it."
