Remsen woman charged with embezzlement waives right to felony hearing

ORISKANY, N.Y. (WKTV) - The case of the Remsen woman accused of stealing more than $50,000 is headed to an Oneida County Grand Jury.

Denice Carr waived her right to a felony hearing in Oriskany Village Court on Monday.

That means the Oneida County District Attorney's office has 45 days to send the case to a grand jury.

Carr is alleged to have stolen more than $50,000 from the Remsen General Store, where she worked.

Carr remains in the Oneida County Jail in lieu of $30,000 cash.
