Old Forge's Goodsell Museum looks to highlight Adirondack businesses

By GARY LIBERATORE

OLD FORGE, N.Y. (WKTV) - Improvements are being made to the Goodsell Museum in Old Forge - a museum that is a tribute to the history of the Adirondacks.

If you haven't been to the Goodsell Museum, it is a great place to take the kids, and admission is free.

Gail Murray, the executive director of the museum, is looking to expand the Museum's concepts to include the history of businesses in the Adirondacks.

In an effort to move forward with this initiative, Murray welcomed business leaders to the museum on Monday to share their own bit of history.

"The Town of Webb is such a big area - 466 square miles...a lot of businesses...and we just want to document their history, past businesses...and businesses currently," Murray said.

The Goodsell Museum is right on Route 28, in the center of Old Forge.
