NEW HARTFORD, N.Y. (WKTV) - Lt. Timothy O'Neill will be interim chief of the New Hartford Police Department once current Chief Raymond Philo retires March 13th.

New Hartford Town Supervisor Patrick Tysinski says O'Neill will serve in that capacity for three months.

Tysinski says the town is in the process of updating the chief's job description. He says the police commission met about the changes last night, and that the town board will look at them at tomorrow night's meeting. After that, he expects the state will have to sign off on the changes.
