REMSEN, N.Y. (WKTV) - Erin Hamlin's friends and family were on the edge of their seats Monday night, watching her first two luge runs.

You could hear them cheering all the way to Vancouver. Hamlin's family threw her a gold medal party.

Her first trip down the luge run isn't being shown on TV until Tuesday, but that didn't stop Hamlin fans. Erin's Aunt and Uncle got a Canadian satellite dish so they could watch the race live.

Hamlin finished 15th after Monday's two runs. She will be competing Tuesday in the final run.

And from the Mohawk Valley to Vancouver, Hamlin fans will be cheering loudly, crossing their fingers she brings home the gold.
