Sheriffs: Man snowmobiles drunk, causes car accident
CROGHAN, N.Y. (WKTV) - One man was ticketed for driving a snowmobile while intoxicated after he caused a car-snowmobile accident in Lewis County.
According to Lewis County Sheriffs, 21-year-old Tyler Lyndaker of Croghan was riding his snowmobile east on Convent Street. He reportedly tried to overtake an SUV driven by 79-year-old Dorothy Baker. The two vehicles collided as Baker attempted to turn left onto Pearl Street. The crash caused the snowmobile to goo off the road and to hit a tree, ejecting Lyndaker. Neither of the men were injured but both vehicles were towed from the scene. Lyndaker was determined to be drunk while driving the snowmobile and was subsequently charged with snowmobiling while intoxicated and failure to operate a snowmobile on the right shoulder of the roadway from sunset to sunrise. |
