Owner of Bogie II nightclub files notice of claim against city
UTICA, N.Y. (WKTV) - The owner of an embattled Utica nightclub has filed a "notice of claim" against the city and its police department.
Bogie II owner Anthony Festa claims the city's decision to close down the club for a year was based on unfounded allegations and unwarranted, repeated harassment by city police. Results of a New York State Liquor Authority hearing are due any time now. At the state level, Festa can face up to $100,000 in fines. Festa's "notice of claim" puts the city on alert that he may file a lawsuit at a later date. |
