Two charged in January fight at Santucci's Hide Out
HERKIMER, N.Y. (WKTV) - Two individuals from the Bronx have been charged in connection to a January 31 fight at Santucci's Hide Out in Herkimer.
According to Herkimer Police, the fight occurred during the early morning hours where two Herkimer County Community College students suffered lacerations to their faces, both requiring medical treatment. Herkimer Police have charged Andrew Wright, 18, and Tevin Griffin, 18, both of the Bronx, with third-degree assault. Both were arraigned in village court and sent to the Herkimer County Jail in lieu of $500 cash bail. Police said they anticipate more arrests as the investigation continues. Working with Utica Police, HPD have determined that this incident is unrelated to recent violence in Utica area nightclubs, as was at one time thought. Police said Robert Lewis, the manager of Santucci's Hideout, has been issued violations by the codes enforcer as a result of the incident. Lewis was scheduled a court date later this month. |
