Woman moves leaving behind numerous dead and mutilated animals
SCHENECTADY, N.Y. (WKTV) - A Schenectady woman is facing charges after police found numerous dead and mutilated animals in her former home after she moved to a new residence.
According to the Montgomery County Sheriff's Office, Lynn A. Tetlak, 57, of Schenectady has been charged with animal cruelty and animal abandonment after she moved out of a residence in the Town of Charleston, abandoning numerous animals on the property without food, water, or shelter. Deputies and Investigators located four deceases cats outside the back of the residence which appeared to have been mutilated by other animals on the property, along with numerous live cats running around outside the residence. Also located were 14 chickens and roosters, and a peacock inside a barn on the property without food or water, and deputies located two feedbags with numerous deceased animals. Tetlak was processed at the Montgomery County Sheriff's office on charges of animal cruelty and animal abandonment, and was issued appearance tickets returnable to the Town of Charleston Court on March 25, 2010 at 7p.m. |
