UTICA, N.Y. (WKTV) - After a short hiatus, the National Distance Running Hall of Fame is inducting another class of runners.

On July 10th at the Masonic Campus a new class of runners will be added to the Hall of Fame. The names will be announced at the Boston Marathon weekend in April.

That announcement was made Thursday night at the first big committee meeting for the 2010 Boilermaker Road Race.

Folks at the Stanley Theater were informed of some new elements to the Boilermaker this year. According to  Boilermaker Executive Director Tim Reed, there will be new timing features this year.

He also announced that there will be a concert Sunday night following the race.  Performing will be English Rock Band Moody Blues.

Reed says it is all adding up to one of the biggest races ever.

"We're probably projecting that this could be the largest field of runners in this will be our 33rd year of running," Reed said.  "So we're pretty excited about that. "

The starting gun will fire for the Boilermaker Road Race on Sunday, July 11th.
