Madison County proclaims Awareness Month

MADISON COUNTY, N.Y. - Madison-Cortland ARC is pleased to receive a proclamation from the Madison County Board of Supervisors, proclaiming March as Developmental Disabilities Awareness Month during their board meeting on March 12.

Every year during the month of March, communities across New York State and the Nation join together to recognize the accomplishments and contributions made by family members, friends and neighbors who have a developmental disability. Area residents are asked to join in the recognition by supporting Madison Cortland ARC, a chapter member of NYSARC, Inc., that provides support and services to people with developmental disabilities.

β€œI would like to thank Madison County for their years of tireless support of our mission,” said Ray Lewandowski, Executive Director of Madison Cortland ARC, to the crowd at the meeting, β€œIn these tough economic times it is ever more crucial to have community involvement.”
