UPDATE: WKTV transmitter on air at 85% power

(WKTV) - For those of you who receive WKTV via a digital receiver and converter box, the "over the air signal" is currently on the air at 85% power.

Some viewers may still be experiencing a weak signal or break up, depending on the usual strength of WKTV's signal in their area.

The engineering department say that problems with the final output tube yesterday required the tube be brought to full power gradually. The transmitter has been on and off at low power while engineers worked to get it back up and running at full power. This work followed a National Grid power outage this past weekend that took WKTV's transmitter off the air.

The transmitter is expected to be at 85% power for an undetermined length of time.
