Joseph Carucci dies at age 69

UTICA, N.Y. (WKTV) - A driving force in the local real estate industry has died.

Joseph Carucci, the owner of Prudential Carucci Real Estate died Monday morning at the age of 69.

Not only was Carucci the head of a major real estate firm, he is also one of the reasons the Hotel Utica is back open. Nine years ago, Carucci worked to bring the landmark back to life.

Carucci had been battling cancer for about three years.
