Irish Festival Officials Expecting Large Profits

Nate Crossett

With 30,000 people expected, and at roughly $12 a ticket, that is a lot of cash.  There is also the cost of food and drinks.  NEWSChannel 2 found out all of the money is going to be used to honor the Irish culture.

"The money goes into a savings account," said Assistant Director Kevin Dowling.  "We're going to establish an Irish cultural building here in the Mohawk Valley, and obviously it's going to take a lot of money to build something like that."

Event organizers are expecting to make about $350,000 just from the cost of admission.
