Fugitive of the Week: Christopher Spratt located and charged

ROME, N.Y. (WKTV) - Another fugitive of the week is now in custody.

According to the the United States Marshals Service NY/NJ Regional Fugitive Task Force, Christopher J. Spratt, 30 - who was featured as a "Fugitive of the Week" on March 5, 2010, has been located in Rome and charged.

Spratt was wanted by the NY/NJ Regional Fugitive Task Force and the Utica Police Department for second-degree robbery following a December 25, 2009 incident in Utica where he was alleged to have struck a subject in the head and face with a staple gun and stole the victim's neck chain and other items.

Local Task Force investigators said they received an anonymous tip that Spratt was staying in Rome and were able to develop several leads which corroborated this information. At approximately 9:45 a.m. On Tuesday, March 16, 2010, Task Force members located Spratt in an apartment in Rome and arrested him without incident.
