Businesses Cash In On Hall of Fame

While the Hall of Fame Induction weekend continues, local business owners are busy handling all the foot traffic coming in and out of their stores.

"It's the busiest weekend ever," says Bob Tricony, owner of One Deck Circle.  "For the past day and a half it's been tons of people and constant crowds."

Other business owners like Gail McManus agree.  "It's been great," the owner of Straws and Sweets admits.  "The crowds have been tremendous.  Everyone has been full of fun and in good spirits."

Preparing for a crowd of 60,000 people isn't easy.  However, with a little pre-planning, it can make a world of difference between striking out and hitting a home run.

"We try to think ahead," says Cooperstown Bat Company owner Sharon Obrrerter.  "We bring out new products particular to that team."

As important as the profits, business owners also take pride in sharing the love of America's greatest past time.
