Destito: Governor's budget will devastate Mohawk Valley DOT

ALBANY, N.Y. (WKTV) - Assemblywoman RoAnn Destito says Governor David Paterson's proposed budget cuts would devastate the State Highway and Bridge program in the Mohawk Valley.

In the proposal, the Mohawk Valley's Department of Transportation would receive one of the lowest allocations for projects in recent history.
    
Destito is proposing converting State Route 49 into an Interstate Highway, making the area eligible for additional funding.
