Man starts fire at Oneida Castle home as authorities attempt to arrest him
ONEIDA CASTLE, N.Y. (WKTV) - State Police, Oneida County Sheriff's Deputies and the City of Oneida Police were at an apartment in Oneida Castle Friday, looking to arrest the man who lived there.
When they arrived on scene, however, a fire broke out at the house. The man living at 1 Seneca Ave in Oneida Castle, whose name is not being released, allegedly started the fire, officials said. When the man refused to come out of the building, police went in to arrest him. The fire was extinguished relatively quickly, and the man was taken into custody.. There was no derails released as of Friday evening as to why authorities were there in the first place. Calls to Oneida City Police were not returned as of Friday evening. |
