Rome man arrested for stealing a bow from Gander Mountain

NEW HARTFORD, N.Y. (WKTV) - A Rome man has been arrested after police say he stole a large bow from the Gander Mountain store at Consumer Square in New Hartford.

New Hartford police say a store employee reported a man fleeing with a Diamond Razor Edge Compound Bow back on February 11th. Employees say the man took off in a dark colored vehicle.

An arrest warrant was issued for 25 year old Travis Skowron of Rome, and Saturday morning around 1:15 a.m., more than a month later, Rome police arrested Skowron. Rome Police turned Skowron over to New Hartford Police and he was charged with grand larceny and taken to the Oneida County Jail in lieu of $250.00 bail.
