Utica man found with drugs during traffic stop
NEW HARTFORD, N.Y. (WKTV) - Police arrested a 49-year-old Utica man after they say he was found with drugs during a basic traffic stop.
According to New Hartford Police, 49-year-old David Dickan was pulled over on Route 12B after an off-duty police office saw him run through multiple red lights in the Village and Town of New Hartford. Following the traffic stop, police found a prescription bottle not in Dickan's name on the floor of the vehicle between Dickan's legs. The bottle contained two pills of Suboxone in addition to an antibiotic, which the prescription was not for. Dickan was arrested and charged with criminal possession of a controlled substance and possession of a controlled substance by ultimate users original container. Dickan will have to appear in New Hartford Town Court at a later date. |
