Remsen Olympian Erin Hamlin enjoys some down time before return to training

(WKTV) - 2009 and 2010 have been amazing for Erin Hamlin. A World Cup victory, bronze medals in World Cup competition, two national titles and her second Olympic appearance.

It has been a whirlwind but through it all she feels she the same as when she started.

"I definitely feel the same as i did four years ago even 10 years ago," Hamlin said. "It's definitely changed my lifestyle for the better because I'm a lot busier. As a whole, I don't feel any different. I still like coming home and doing the same things I used to do. I like being secluded more, but at the same time it's so much fun and i love experiencing it while i can."

After finishing a disappointing 16th in Vancouver, there was no hesitation from Erin - she's going for it again in Russia in four years, and that means getting right back to work.

"I'm training," she said. "The next couple of months I hit the gym. I'm relaxing a little bit, but not too much. It's an all-year process. You can't rest too much. The sports-specific training won't start until the end of May or June. So, I will hang out at home for a while, work out, and spend some time with family."

So we posed the question to her; what would you do if you have to stop competing right now - and Erin says it's been an amazing ride.

"I definitely have no regrets," she said. "I'm World Champion, a two-time Olympian and I never imagined I'd make it to there. Yeah, there are things I'd like to accomplish in the sport, but I can't complain at all."

Don't be surprised one bit to see Erin back in the Olympics four years from now, and this time she'll likely be on the podium.
