Richard Hanna hits campaign trail; endorsed by Chenango County GOP

NORWICH, N.Y. (WKTV) - The Chenango County Republican Committee has unanimously endorsed Richard Hanna for their candidate in the 24th Congressional District race.

Chairman Tom Morrone said the committee was impressed with Hanna'2 008 Congressional run - so much so, that his committee was very enthusiastic to once again support Hanna’s candidacy.

“Richard Hanna is the only candidate in the race who knows what it takes to create jobs in Upstate New York,” Morrone said. “He’s a self-made businessman, a true fiscal conservative and the leader we need to represent Chenango County and the entire 24th District in Congress.”

The 24th Congressional District includes all of Chenango County, as well as Cortland, Herkimer and Seneca counties, and part of Broome, Cayuga, Oneida, Ontario, Otsego, Tioga and Tompkins counties.

“It’s time we have true representation at the federal level, and that’s why our committee fully endorses Richard Hanna,” Morrone added.

On Tuesday, May 4, Hanna began a tour of the 24th Congressional District to officially kick-off his campaign, beginning Tuesday morning in Otsego County by meeting with local residents and elected officials, and visiting various businesses and community gathering places in the county.
