Dining for Miracles - For the Nole Family, it's personal

UTICA, N.Y. - On the morning of January 9, 2007, Jason and Kristy Nole had no idea that later that day they would become part of the Children’s Miracle Network family.

But when their daughter Alannah was born prematurely with a cleft palate, their lives were forever touched by the miracles that take place everyday at Faxton St. Luke’s Healthcare as a result of the Children’s Miracle Network (CMN).

To give back to the organization that was there for them in their time of need, Jason and Kristy Nole are inviting everyone in the community to “Dine for Miracles” during the month of May. As owners of the restaurant ANCORA!, Jason and Kristy organized this event to raise money to purchase life-saving equipment and to provide programs and services for children and families in our community.

Visit any of the following participating restaurants and make a difference to local children in the hospital:

• ANCORA! - 261 Genesee Street, Utica
• Bella Cucina - 4479 Commercial Drive, New Hartford • Carmella’s Cafe - 8530 Seneca Turnpike, New Hartford • Charlie’s Pizza - 350 Leland Avenue, North Utica & Kellogg Road, Washington Mills • The Chesterfield Restaurant - 1713 Bleeker Street, Utica • Daniele’s at Valley View - 620 Memorial Parkway, Utica • Grimaldi’s Restaurant - 418 Bleeker Street, Utica • Little Roma Pizza and Catering - 485 French Road, Utica • Marr-Logg Restaurant - 1130 Culver Avenue, Utica • Pumpernickel’s Deli & Catering - Center Court, New Hartford Shopping Center

Your server will provide you with details on how you can help during your visit. ANCORA!, for example, will be selling $1 and $5 CMN balloons and those who donate $5 will receive a certificate good for $5 off their next visit. They will also be holding a signature Crepe giveaway on Saturday, May 29, for everyone who makes a donation to CMN.

"Children's Miracle Network is an organization that positively impacts so many members of our local community and my daughter Alannah directly benefited from their services,” said Jason Nole. “I wanted to give back in some way and since two things central New York is known for are great food and generosity - I thought what better way to give than through Dining for Miracles. When I approached fellow local restaurant owners to partake in the program, they jumped at the chance to help raise awareness and support for CMN."

One hundred percent of all proceeds from Dining for Miracles stay local and are used to purchase equipment and fund services and programs in departments where children are treated throughout FSLH.
