NEW HARTFORD, N.Y. (WKTV) - The U.S. Paralympic Curling Team was honored with a Congressional Record Statement Friday.

The statement, presented by Congressman Michael Arcuri came in honor of the team's fourth place finish at the 2010 Paralympic Games in Vancouver.

The U.S. team has had quite a season. In addition to their fourth place finish, the team also placed first at the U.S. Nationals.

Two members of the team were on hand for the award presentation, and said the team is taking a few weeks off from curling, but plan on getting back to training this summer.

"It's an honor," said team member Augusto Perez. "I think we have a phenomenal team."

Friday's award ceremony was held at Sitrin in New Hartford. Sitrin is a sponsor of the U.S. Paralympic Curling team.
