Rome homicide suspect still awaiting extradition from North Carolina

ROME, N.Y. (WKTV) - Nearly a month after he is accused of shooting a man to death in the City of Rome, the suspect is still awaiting extradition from North Carolina.

Bobby Ray Hunt waived his right to extradition, and Rome Police have been waiting for a commitment from the U.S. Marshal's Service, and only recently heard back from them.

Police say Hunt shot Jadreck Baker, 20, to death near Bloomfield Street back on May 2.

The U.S. Marshal's are expected to fly to North Carolina and bring Hunt back.

No date has been set for his return.
