Former City of Utica Public Works Commissioner acquitted on several charges

UTICA, N.Y. (WKTV) - A former City of Utica Public Works Commissioner was acquitted of several charges after representing himself at trial in Utica City Court this week for charges stemming his now closed-club, "Pistol Pete's."

Steven Patterson was found not-guilty of unlawfully dealing with a child, obstructing governmental administration, acting in a manner injurious to a child, unlawful maintenance of premises, consumption of alcohol on premises without a license,and operating a cabaret without a license - all misdemeanors. He was also acquitted of alcohol consumption without a license and a city noise ordinance.

The one charge that Patterson was convicted of was second-degree harassment.

He will be sentenced in Utica City Court on July 19.
